Wonect December Box!

Here are the three items in the Wonect December box:

  • Ettusais Peeling milk
  • Pure Smile Delicious Lip Cream–Apple Pie Flavour | Pure Smile(ピュアスマイル) デリシャスリップクリーム『DELICIOUS LIP CREAM』
  • Majolica Majorca Nude Make Gel.

And here’s my review:

  1. Ettusais Peeling Milk

This is a rather gentle product, so I’m not sure if it really works. It’s probably a psychological thing, I have no idea why I tend to associate “tingy feelings” with “effectiveness”?? (Think= SKII)

When I first used it, there were lots of “eraser dust” that came off, and I assumed that a good part of my old skin cells came off too. So yes, it did give me a fresh feeling after usage. My skin also appeared brighter. Some blackheads also came off (but not all XD).

I think I need to use it for a prolonged period of time to be able to see the effect? So I intend to use it for twice a week and see what happens.

Anyway, I -think- peeling milk is supposed to be gentle so that they don’t scar or poke holes into your skin. So this is good!

I’d probably need more time to decide if this product does have an effect or not. On the brighter side, it smells really great and makes you feel happy!

2. Pure Smile Delicious Lip Cream

Pure Smile is this company with really out-of-the-world concept. First, they sold really weird and strange looking facial masks which were ironically wildly popular.

For example, will you want to be a cat? Well, you can with this facial mask:

So I was rather excited to receive this Apple Pie flavoured Lip Gel by PureSmile:

Having said that, I’m honestly very curious about the pancake flavour too. However, back to Apple Pie HAHA:

This lip cream is good–it moisturises really well. In fact, it is one of the best lip cream I’d ever tried because it’s so moisturising. It’s great for winter!

I also liked the apple pie smell HAHA. For some reason this lip cream made me really happy. I think it is because food appeals to every human being’s primal instincts and triggers a psychological alert that makes one happy?

There are probably no cons to this product. That being said however, I think it is highly subjective whether you like the apple-pie-smell or not. I can imagine how some people might hate it, so this is a polarising lip product!

3. Majolica Majorca Nude Make Gel.

This product is easily my favourite. I love how the “gel” blends right to your skin tone. it’s almost as if you have no makeup on and really does make your skin look flawless. Depending on how much you apply, the initial coverage is pretty good as well.

Also, this product is something like a cross between a BB cream and foundation. I liked how it makes the makeup very natural, and how “dewy” the skin appears later. There’s also SPF 30 ++ protection, which makes this ideal for office makeup.

In winter time I don’t usually use powder foundation, so I really liked this product because it is so fuss-free and ideal for natural makeup.

HOWEVER, I’m not sure if drinking alcohol affects anything. You see, when I left my house for Xmas dinner with this product on my face, all my pimples were reasonably covered. After I started drinking for a while, some redness started appearing and that’s totally VISIBLE! So I’m not sure if it is because the gel faded after a while, or that the redness of my skin showed through all the alcohol.

So I figured: Maybe the logic is to put concealer before applying this Nude Make Gel. Alternatively, just avoid drinking alcohol lol!!

I’d be curious about how this works in sunny and humid climates, so I’d definitely be reading the reviews of other wonect reviewers as well!

Okay that’s it for the December Box’s reviews! Remember to visit Wonect to do your monthly dose of Japanese beauty goodies shopping!
