Why rock the boat?

One of my favourite phrases in life, eloquently articulated by Daniel Boey, is “Rock the boat but don’t sink it.”

I always felt that that’s a great way to assert one’s perspective overseas.

However, today I heard another line of thought, which is 以面为先,以理为主。

Which is really an art! Especially to avoid trouble.

Most of the time, people simply don’t know what others want, because most people don’t say what they want.
