Some random inspirations after reading “Thrashing Tribe in Tokyo: A Story about Finnish Metal and Cultural Export”.


Hello! Quick post before I go to zzzz.🙂 I really want to build up original content on Finngapore that is not reposted for the sake of improving this blog’s SEO, but it’s really hard to get guest writers to contribute on a pro-bono basis and I’m currently so busy managing at least 9 blogs HAHA.

But let’s try!!

Recently I’d been drawn to this book “The Playing Finn” by Toni-Matti Karjalainen, Miikka J. Lehtonen and Jani Niipola. In spite of knowing so many people from the gaming community and being friends with 10001 hardcore gamers all over the world, I have unfortunately zero interest in games. Whenever my Finnish boyfriend plays WoW, I’d be eating salmon, scratching his lap and purring next to him.

LOL okay, I deviate.

I am drawn to music, so today I will pick one chapter by Toni-Matti Karjalainen on Music and the Finnish culture…
