The country you see.

I wonder how foreigners adapt to a foreign country.

Of course, your first friends would tend to be foreigners as well, then you’d see the country via the eyes of foreigners. If you don’t have a native girlfriend/boyfriend, you’d also see the country via the eyes of foreigners.

That’s to say, it’s possible to be in the same place and see things with totally different eyes. Like parallel lines, certain things never cross.

So in a lot of ways, it is possible for foreigners to stay 10 years in a foreign country and not even see beyond the ice-berg of a country’s culture.

This is why a foreigner’s niche in a certain country is important. Because this niche makes parallel lines perpendicular. Have you ever seen any certain foreigners having a niche–and still fail– in any country?😛
